D. Writing Assignment - Traveling to the United States of America (USA)
It was your birthday yesterday (happy B-Day!) and you just opened your grandparents' gift, a small envelope they sent by mail because they could not travel. In the envelope you found vouchers for 2 tickets to the US this summer. You were jumping for joy when you realized that you did not know who to invite. You thought about taking your girlfriend but she is going away this summer with her family. The only two people that come to mind are your brother James and your best friend Larry; both of them are very close to you and you enjoy their company. What to do?
Assignment: using iPad app Textme, write a quick note to Larry and James separately, where you will NOT tell them about the trip but instead, you ask them question to decide which one you want to invite. Some sample questions are: what are you doing this summer, did you plan to travel? Do you ever plan to visit the US?
Once you are done your discussions with Larry and James, select who you want to take with you on your trip and explain to the teacher orally the reason(s) for your choice.
